Other Ministries

Metropolis First Baptist Church is very active in so many different ministries, just a few of which are listed below.

senior ministry

Super Saints
The “Super Saints” ministry was created by Associate Pastor Louis Brinker as an ongoing program for Senior Adults. This ministry is designed to appreciate, utilize, and celebrate those that are over the age of 55. A person’s age should not limit their ability to serve, enjoy, and glorify the Lord and all his people. The Super Saints have many activities they are involved in – if you are looking for a way to continue to be an active partner in the church then we welcome you to join in.

Foreign Missions

We work with IMB (International Mission Board) in their mission to make disciples of all peoples in fulfillment of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20.

Over 6,000 people groups – 1.7 billion people – still live with little or no access to the Gospel.
IMP is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation’s largest evangelical denomination, claiming more than 40,000 churches with nearly 16 million members.  Join with us to help reach the world!

NAMB

Domestic Missions
The North American Mission Board exists to work with churches, associations and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting.  You don’t have to leave the country to reach others – see where we are working and get involved.

Media
Each Sunday service we broadcast live on Comcast Channel 11.  Sunday morning will start at 10:15am, and Sunday night starts at 6:00pm.  The morning service is also streamed live here.  If you are unable to attend, you can tune in and still worship with us!  Also, both services are recorded, so if you missed one, please contact Peggy in the office to request a DVD of the service you missed.  Sunday morning sermons will also be available on our Sermons page.
